Ministers have announced that the divorce ‘blame game’ will come to an end on 6 April 2022 when the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020 will come into force.
This Act will allow married couples to divorce without assigning blame. Although this date is later than anticipated, it is a welcomed move forward and will hopefully remove some of the acrimony from the divorce process.
