First Consultation
We offer a “no strings” fixed fee consultation at a cost of £160 plus VAT for a meeting that usually lasts about an hour. Your first appointment can be in person, over the telephone or via Microsoft Teams.
Armed with both practical and legal advice, our client’s say they feel more confident tackling their relationship breakdown after a consultation with us.
You are under no obligation to instruct us after the initial consultation but if you do decide to instruct, we will provide you with an estimate of the costs you are likely to incur at each stage of the proceedings.
Fixed Fee Divorce
The Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020 which came into force on the 6 April 2022 has simplified the divorce process for separating couples in England and Wales. This has enabled us to reduce the cost of our fixed fee divorce package to clients who do not have the added complexity of settling their financial affairs or agreeing arrangements for their children.
For just £500 plus vat one of our experienced family law solicitors will take you through the divorce process from drafting the divorce application and lodging the papers with the court right through to the Final Order (formerly the Decree Absolute). The court currently charge a fee of £593 when we lodge the divorce application.
Our fixed fee package starts once you have had an initial fixed price consultation with one of our experienced family solicitors.
The fixed fee divorce package applies to a straightforward non contested divorce where there are no issues over service of the papers or jurisdiction.
Fixed Fee Financial Settlement
For those couples who are fortunate enough to have agreed a financial settlement between them or through a mediation process and they just need help to formalise their agreement into a legally binding document and to lodge the papers for approval with the court, our charges start from £1,500 plus vat depending on complexity. The court charges a fee of £58 to lodge the paperwork.
Hourly Rate Service
If your separation is more complicated because you have assets you need to share, or there are issues around financial support for you and/or your children or you need to agree living arrangements for your children, we would recommend instructing a solicitor on an hourly rate basis. Our hourly rate charges are extremely competitive: –

Wills & Powers of Attorney
Wills
A basic single Will is £230 plus VAT
Basic Mirror Wills are £400 plus VAT
For more complex wills we will give you a quote once we understand your wishes and the size of the estate.
Lasting Powers of Attorney
There are two types of LPA. One covers property & financial affairs, and one covers someone’s health & welfare.
Single Person
One LPA starts from £395 plus VAT
Both types start from £695 plus VAT
Couple
One LPA for both starts from £750 plus VAT
Two types start from £1,195 plus VAT
Acting as Certificate Provider (per person) is £150 plus VAT

The Office of the Public Guardian charge application fees of £82 per LPA being registered, however a reduction or exemption of the application fees may be applicable depending on your circumstances.
