Abbie Marsh

Abbie advises across all aspects of privately funded family law matters including divorce, separation, contested matrimonial finances, private law children matters, and injunction matters. 

Abbie has built up a wealth of experience representing a wide range of clients who come from various backgrounds and circumstances, dealing with cases involving serious domestic violence and complex financial issues.

Abbie joined the team at Townsend’s in May 2022 and was admitted as a solicitor in December 2022.

Abbie is committed to providing a supportive and professional service to her clients, aiming to resolve issues as cost effectively as possible with minimal stress. Abbie delivers her advice with honesty and realism which clients appreciate. Abbie has been commended for her sensible and confident approach to dealing with the issues at hand which places clients immediately at ease.

Abbie’s private client experience gained before joining Townsend’s means that Abbie also acts for clients in the preparation of their Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Personal

Abbie studied Law at the University of Hertfordshire securing a 2:1 Upper Second Class honours before completing her Masters in Law combined with her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law.

Abbie began her training contract at an established law firm in Hertfordshire before joining Townsend in pursuit of a career in Family Law, an area she has always wanted to practice in.

In her spare time Abbie enjoys getting stuck into a true crime series, trying new food, and spending time with her friends and family. Abbie’s adopted dog Buddy has also become part of the Townsend family.

Reported cases

Abbie acted in a fact-finding hearing for a mum of five who had suffered sexual, physical, and psychological abuse from her partner.
