We are pleased to announce that Lucy Cornish has joined Townsend Family as an Associate Solicitor.
Lucy was one of the early cohorts to qualify as a solicitor through the Solicitors Qualifying Examination route after gaining a First Class degree in History at the University of Birmingham.
Lucy’s career has come full circle, having started as a paralegal and later trainee solicitor at a firm in Essex and coming back to Essex to join Townsend’s after two years working for a specialist family law practice in London.
Lucy has established a solid foundation in financial remedy work and she is looking forward to expanding her experience into in private Children Act work and cohabitee disputes.
Lucy’s enthusiasm for family law and commitment to her career, coupled with her warm and friendly personality, make her a perfect addition to the firm. Lucy joins a growing team of strong and ambitious solicitors led by the owner, Marion Foley, who has successfully trained Abbie Marsh, who qualified in 2023 and more recently Poppy Mclellan, who qualified in 2025.
