What a year it has been for the Townsend Family Law team! 2024 has consisted of a mixture of success, happiness and hard work with many memorable moments in the office.
Easter
The celebrations began in Easter. Marion enjoys using her creativity in respect of interior design and so the office was decorated with all things easter such as colourful flower stickers on the glass offices, small yellow chicks and an easter tree.
Mandy
In September 2024, we were happy to welcome Mandy to the Townsend Family Law team! Mandy has joined Townsend as our receptionist/office administrator. She has experience in previous law firms, conveyancing and in the energy sector. In her spare time Mandy enjoys spending time with her family, watching drama series and cooking up new recipes.
Poppy
In December 2024, Poppy completed her professional skills course. Poppy undertook the final part of her training where she had to complete multiple days of online learning and exams. Poppy successfully completed this and is now on her way to qualifying as a solicitor in the new year. We are all so proud of Poppy!
Abbie
In October 2024, Abbie had her first publicly reported case! Abbie acted in a fact finding hearing for a mum of five who had suffered sexual, physical, and psychological abuse from her partner. The judgement is a harrowing read. Findings were made against the father on all allegations. We are so proud of Abbie but more so of our client who found the strength to leave an abusive relationship and was so brave in giving her evidence during an intense fact-finding hearing. This is another successful outcome for Abbie who has developed a strong practice in Children Act proceedings involving serious domestic violence.
English Afternoon Tea Bus
In April, the team were treated to a day out on the English afternoon tea bus in London. This included afternoon on a double-decker bus that toured all around London for the day. Such a lovely day out!
Rene’s Wedding
In September, we had the pleasure of celebrating Rene’s wedding day. We started the celebrations with a surprise afternoon tea at Mulberry House.
Rene’s wedding day was definitely one to remember. A beautiful day enjoyed by all. Congratulations!!!
Halloween
Spooky season in the Townsend Family Law office was definitely one to remember. Marion decorated the office top to bottom with the most deadly décor! We had bats on our glass offices, spiders on the doors and a Halloween tree filled with a mix of black and orange hanging ornaments.
Buddy
Buddy is studying hard to become our first pawlegal when he is not enjoying tummy rubs and snoozes. He’s been rocking his neckerchief look 2024.
Christmas
And our most recent celebratory moment of the year is Christmas. We began our Christmas celebrations at the very end of November when we were treated to a night out in Kensington to attend The Great Christmas Feast! The show was amazing and consisted of a theatrical production of Charles Dickins’ A Christmas Carol along with a three course meal. The night was enjoyed by all and definitely marked the start of the festive period.
Throughout the month of December, we had the joy of decorating the office with our Townsend-coloured Christmas decorations and listening to Christmas music.
On 19th December, we had our Christmas jumper day, secret Santa and pizzas for lunch. The day was enjoyed by all as we exchanged gifts and discussed plans for the Christmas period.
